YOGA BASICS: A GUIDED 4-WEEK SERIES TO GET YOUR STARTED

The yoga pose is not the goal. Becoming flexible or standing on our hands is not the goal.

 

The goal is to create space where you were once stuck. To unveil layers of protection you’ve built around your heart. To appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and the noise it creates. To make peace with who you are. The goal is to love, well, you.

 

Shift your focus and your heart will grow.

During this workshop series, designed specifically for those who are new to yoga, you’ll explore the elements of yoga in a slow paced and comfortable environment. You’ll learn how to develop a yoga practice that is safe for you while you build strength, flexibility, and balance for a lifetime.  

 

The small class size will allow for individual attention and modifications.  

 

With this 4-week series we will focus on the fundamentals of the most common poses with a brief introduction to the history of yoga and yoga philosophy. You’ll discover the foundational practices, techniques and guiding principles to begin your yoga journey on a path of personal growth and wellness. One of the greatest aspects of yoga is that regardless of your experience or level of fitness or flexibility there is a way to modify to match your exact level of ability and this series will teach you how.

In the past I used to think okay tomorrow I will sleep in because I have to work late, sleep is important……or when my alarm would go off I would mentally run through my day & decide – I can work out later, and then go back to bed. 

 

Since getting out of bed and going right to my yoga mat is miracle morning “non-negotiable,” Jill’s term, instead of all this thinking about how I should workout etc, now I just do it. Less thinking, more doing – yoga, journaling, meditation!

I can’t thank Jill enough for her guidance. I am happy to say that I am doing my miracle morning consistently so far. I have not missed a day of my 3 non-negotiable items: yoga, meditation and journaling. 

I have to say that I love the yoga. The meditation was hard for me at first but I feel like I am starting to get that. Once I stopped beating myself up for having other thoughts, it got easier. I have to work on getting up at the same time each morning but I love that this is now part of my morning regardless of when I wake up.

 

Jill’s resources have been very helpful. This has truly been life changing. Thanks for the daily email inspiration too!

My mindful morning has been really great.  I have learned that my body is really tight in the morning.  I take a little extra time on some of the yoga poses to help open up my hips and lower back and that has really helped.

 

Thank you Jill for sending the inspirational quotes.  They are beautiful.  I have been using a one note notebook to journal, and have copying the quotes into that notebook.
