A self-care plan for body, mind and soul to renew and nourish the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, and mental aspects of your life. Incorporating activities from a whole living perspective means you’ll be nourishing every aspect in your life.

This is the start of something for you – something positive and personal.

Self care isn’t an indulgence or selfish. It’s self love. It’s a necessary part of life. When you feel nourished and cared for you’re so much more able to nourish and care for those around me. It’s about listening to yourself, making yourself a priority and getting in touch with yourself, your wants, needs and dreams.

Self-care is a journey to self-respect, and self-love; it’s about being as good to you as you are to everyone else. We’re going to going to create a self-care routine together.

Start thinking about what self-care should look like for you. Here are some ideas to get you started and maybe even re-thinking the concept of self-care:

Whatever you choose to add to your self-care routine, the point is to take time to do the things that make you feel happy, healthy and beautiful—you deserve it.

Think about the aspects in life that are important to body, mind and soul and the things you can do that makes your soul and your spirit sing.

    We should all consider taking care of ourselves as a priority. It’s not because we’re selfish but we do so much better at life when we’re in a good place with a healthy mind and a healthy body. I love this list that you have and making your own set of things that you consider taking care of yourself is a great idea!

  11. I always tell people that taking care of yourself first isn’t selfish, because if you can’t take care of yourself then you can’t take care of others. I do stuff for myself all the time everyday! It’s so important!

  12. I love all of these ideas! I especially think reading helps me slow down and center myself. And also shutting off the internet on the weekends is always good!

  21. I totally agree – taking care of and nourishing your mind, body, and soul are imperative. I love that you included watching the sunrise and sunset. The simple beauty and color of the sky can be breathtaking at times.

  23. The only way I truly relax is by turning off all communication. I love watching some cartoons that are mindless and just doing nothing.

  26. I love my evening routine of Candy Cane Lane decaf green tea and a mindless read. Sometimes I will soak in a bath. About once a month or every 6 weeks I try to schedule a mani/pedi and a deep tissue massage.

  32. When I became a mom I knew I had to reserve time for self-care in order to take better care of my girls. I am in the process of figuring out the best time to meditate even if only for a few minutes. Thanks for all the suggestions! I would add a massage once a month. Or foam rolling every night which I aim to do.

  34. I love the self-care ideas you’ve included in here. They are so simple but often overlooked or even taken for granted. Too often people think taking time for self-care is selfish, when it’s really the opposite. Taking care of ourselves ensures that we can be our best for others.
