Spiralizing. You’re heard of it right? When I changed to a gluten free diet I needed an alternative to pasta and at the time I wasn’t having any luck with finding gluten free “traditional” pasta that tasted good and had a good texture.

Hello spiralizer! The solution to my no-pasta dilemma. Endless recipe possibilities with some of my favorite fruits and veggies. I have since found a really good gluten free traditional pasta that I love, but whenever it fits the recipe I’ll choose spiralized noodles instead.

    1. I’m not a big pasta person either but I have found a black bean pasta that is so so good. I’d choose it over traditional pasta even if I wasn’t gluten free.

  8. oh man, I have never heard of this term! This looks really interesting! I did a fast in January and this would have been amazing during that time!

    1. If you like veggies and/or you’re trying to add more to your diet this is the best kitchen tool ever. What type of fast did you do? How did it go?

    1. Get one. No. Get both Sarah! I use my spiralizer and, believe it or not, my melon baller often. The oatmeal is next on my list to make with a little tweaking of the ingredients.

  23. These recipes look amazing! I have spiralized carrots and zucchini. I had that little manual spiralizer from Walgreens I think. It didn’t work well LOL.

    1. I’ve never used one of the small manual ones but I imagine it would be hard to use with some of the fruits and veggies. Try spiralizing apples. Yummy in a variety of recipes.

I got the KitchenAid Spiralizer attachment for Christmas, but I still haven’t been able to use i. Too heavy when I was on crutches. But soon!

      1. You don’t want to know! When left to his own devices he makes white pasta with meat sauce, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on mushy white bread, and grilled cheese with Kraft Singles. Probably the healthiest thing he will make is an egg sandwich.

  32. I have only actually tried spiralizing zucchini. I have one of the small hand-held spiralizers so I don’t use it much anymore, although it does the job. I kind of want to get one of the bigger ones to make it easier and then maybe I would be more motivated to get creative. This looks like a great collection of recipes!
