A good for you recipe that tastes like you’re eating dessert for breakfast.
Good morning!
Last minute change of plans. I had every intention of sharing an awesome feels-so-good stretch routine. Then, I received a very convincing email asking for a short morning specific stretch routine. And, since that very thing is on my to-blog list I decided to go with ooey gooey chocolate goodness today and a stretch routine some time next week. Sound good?
Chocolate yumminess and good for you? Life doesn’t get any better than that!
Make this tonight and have it for breakfast tomorrow. If you’re a chocolate fan, I promise you’re going to love the gooey goodness of this recipe.
Enjoy a breakfast that tastes like dessert, is high in protein, gluten free and delicious.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup gluten free rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 ozs plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tablespoon agave nectar
- 1 scoop Skoop B-Strong vanilla protein powder
- 1 tablespoon walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Combine the milk, oats, yogurt, cocoa powder and agave in a bowl or jar and mix well.

I would love to chat.
What is your favorite chocolate recipe? Would you serve the overnight oats cold or warm? Topped with yogurt, yay or nay?
be the best version of YOU,
Life really doesn’t get much better than having chocolate for breakfast. Especially when it’s healthy. I like that there is plain yogurt in this to power up the protein content. Wonderful!
Love this picture!! And this looks sooo good! I love creamy oats too
This looks so great! I love finding new overnight oats recipes to experiment with!
This looks so delicious! I think I need to try it this week with coconut yogurt.
I happen to have all these ingredients in my pantry and may just need to try this tonight!
I’ll eat them both warm or cold – it just depends on how I feel that day. Sometimes a warm bowl of oatmeal is exactly what I need 🙂
Oh my goodness YUM! These oats look so good!!! I love anything that tastes like a brownie!
Oh my goodness! I could jump right into that bowl 🙂
I looove overnight oats!! i need to buy some more cocoa powder so I can make these! i also like to use coconut yogurt in my overnight oats to make them extra creamy!
This sounds SO amazing! And simple, and with healthy ingredients! I’m in love, can’t wait to try!
Hi Jill,
Great to see you at the Blogger’s Pit Stop. Thanks for leaving your recipe last week.
Janice, Pit Stop Crew
This looks heavenly! I am definitely more of a warm oatmeal person, and as for yogurt… Maybe on the side. This is definitely on my “to-make” list. I am getting a little bored with my plain oats and cinnamon.
Jill can I just tell you I am desperately trying to lose the last few extra pounds of baby weight I am carrying, and I am a choco-aholic! This just might suppress my appetite for chocolate! Thanks for sharing! #BloggersPitStop
This looks delicious and I’m all about saving time in the morning! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
Found you from the Get It Together Link Up Party! This is so yummy and very easy to make! Would definitely give it a try. Lots of love from Pink Heart String <3
I have to admit that looks pretty delish and awesome. I’m always looking for creative ways to eat oatmeal.
I have yet to try overnight oats. Texture is kind of a big deal for me so I worry that it would be too mushy. I really need to try it and figure it out! This does look yummy!
Make this your first ONO experience Sue! And let me know what you think 🙂
Holla! You had me at brownie, and then you added oatmeal. WHOA. haha. I have been in love with raw cacao powder lately, but I haven’t used it in this way. Thanks, Lovely! #fitfamlove #thefitdish

You might as well use your Skoop for this bowl of goodness 🙂 The yogurt topping is so creamy and good with the chocolate.
This looks yummy! I think I should have it for dessert tonight though. ;o)
Dessert. Breakfast. Brownie Batter ONO is good anytime! Have you tried the recipe? Good isn’t it!
Yummy in my tummy!!! I haven’t been using yogurt in my overnight oats, rather I have been using chia seeds and unsweetened almond milk to get it creamy…Works perfectly! Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe! XOXO

How about making this in the morning for an after-dinner snack/dessert? Is it too carby too late in the day?
Hi Lola, actually if you make it 2 servings it’s a great snack in the afternoon. It’s great anytime!
This looks SO good, Jill! I’ve never seen overnight oats actually look appetizing to be honest haha!
It tastes as good as it looks Janelle. Let me know if you try it 🙂

Happy to share Amanda. It’s good with or without the yogurt. Cold is good but warmed is the best way to eat it.
I would be SO FRIGGIN’ excited to wake up to eat these in the AM. More excited than a kid awaiting Santa’s gifts on XMAS morning!
