What are the things you do everyday to get the most out of life? Think about it a minute. Healthy and happy life hacks are going to be different for everyone, but that’s not to say that we can’t all learn from each other’s experiences.

HEALTHY AND HAPPY LIFE HACKS. HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF LIFE

Empower yourself with the belief that anything is possible. Dream big, make a plan, do the work and visualize yourself making your dreams become a reality.

Get an early start on the day. In every inspiring book read, podcast listened to and Ted Talk watched, if the topic of being a morning person comes up they’re all in agreement. Early morning is “uninterrupted time” to focus on the things that need to get done.

Move your body. The body craves movement and it’s essential to overall health and feeling your best.

Spend quality time with loved ones. Make time for the people who are the most important. Unplug and give your undivided attention to those that you love. Make it a priority.

Power down the mind. Find time everyday to turn your mind off, rejuvenate and just be. Even if it’s only a short period of time. Maybe a walk, yoga or meditation.

Develop meaningful personal and professional relationships that provide support, encouragement and a belief in your ability to make your dreams come true.

Track your time. To effectively and productively spend your time you have to know exactly how you’re spending your time. If you’ve ever tried to lose weight, you know that nutritionists tell you to keep a food journal because it keeps you from eating mindlessly. It’s the same thing with time. Write down what you’re doing as often as you can and in as much detail as you think will be helpful.

Trust your instincts. In business and in life, listen to your gut. All the answers you need come from within.

Cultivate an attitude for gratitude and find joy in simple things. It’s the little things that bring sustainable success and happiness.

Find acceptance and validation from within. Look inside yourself. Find more and more from within. It’s there. I promise.

That’s a lot take in isn’t it. Feel the empowerment of these actions.

IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES!

So tell me, what are your top 2 life hacks for a successful more fulfilling life?

Much love. XOXO

be the best version of YOU

  6. I definetely agree that you should start early and get moving. It makes your body ready and much more awake, and I find myself feeling happier. Also gives you a great mindset for the rest of the day 🙂

  17. Awesome tips! Some of my go to tips are to lay out my clothes the night before, pack my gym bag and put it in the car the night before and to meal prep on so I always have healthy foods on hand.

  18. Great list of Life Hacks, I’m going to be mindful of trusting my instincts, it seems so simple but it’s very hard for me.

  19. Your postings are so inspiring, Jill.
How are your studies doing? Wishing you tons of success!

  20. With you on the early mornings! that always makes me feel like i’ve started my day off on the right foot. another life hack for me is to spend quality time with my boyfriend (or significant other). We spend all our days working, and even after work, we work more. I love when we can just spend time together one on one and forget about all the other stuff!

  21. I need to be better about powering down my mind. I have been so busy lately I feel so drained by the evenings. I like the idea of just going on a relaxing walk to chill and be alone with my thoughts.

  22. Oh this is such a good reminder! I would say my top two are:
    1. To disconnect from all electronic devices at least once a day. I do this by going on a relaxing walk with my pup!
    2. To travel to the places that make you happy. To a place where you just feel your best inside and out.
    XOXO

  23. One of my goals this summer is to get to bed earlier so I can get up to run.

  24. One of the fitness life hacks I’ve been doing lately is using “workout starters/finishers” which I am working on a post about. It’s kind of like HIIT, but like an extra workout insurance for any movement you do regardless of the intensity/duration. They are usually five minute mini circuits that I do at the beginning and/or end of a strength workout or a cycle/walk. They promote major calorie burn, build muscle, and get the heart rate elevated!

I’m also with you about getting things done early. My life is still so off from moving overseas and having a very open schedule. The days I stay in bed even a tiny bit longer I notice I get so much less accomplished.

    Great tips! 🙂

  25. Great tips! I really need to pay attention to how I spend my time each day and think about what benefit the time spent is bringing me.

  26. What a beautiful and inspiring post! I love that quote by James Allen. Could not agree more with getting up early. I am at my best in those hours before the madness of the day begins.

  29. Jill I feel so energized after reading this post. I need to learn to be more of an early riser. I’m quite the night owl and mornings are just tough for me. I love these life hacks. The track your time – I imagine that would save me so much time once I figured out how much time I was wasting bouncing around from thing to thing

  30. I love these. I’ve been more than a little unhappy lately…life isn’t playing nice with me. But I just keep pushing thru. So I’d add to your list keeping everything in perspective and using mantras frequently. Mine is always I can and I will!

  31. LOVE all of these. For me it’s feeling grateful the second I wake up. Just taking a moment to appreciate the fact that I’m alive again for another day. That and taking a moment to take a full, present breathe. Things that take hardly any effort but really help.

  32. My best advice would be to stop spending precious time on negativity… people, actions, thoughts… get rid of them from your life.

  33. I LOVE this list. And, amen about the morning routine. It is such a life changer, I LOVE LJ’s routines and rituals too. Are you not so excited for the next MNB book?! Oh my goodness, I am drooling over that thing. haha. My top 2 hacks are def the AM routine, and tracking my time. I am really working on the latter, and when I get it right, I feel amazing. But, I am focusing on feeling amazing and happy as often as possible, because I can choose to. Yee haw! Oh my. Gettin’ carried away. Happy Fit Dish Tuesday!

  34. Ah, spending quality time with loved ones is definitely a good one! I really miss my family/closest friends. :[ I haven’t seen them in almost a year, but hopefully I’ll get to visit at some point again!

Yay for gratitude, time management + acceptance too!

Still working on making myself a happier morning person (and learning to trust my instincts when taking exams…)! 😛

  35. Awesome, awesome ideas! I love life hacks 🙂 Trust my instincts is something so difficult for me to do out of fear of failure. There have been numerous things I haven’t done for fear and not trusting my instincts! Definitely working on that, and gratitude for my body in general!

  36. Ooh, tracking your time is a great idea! I should do that, though I’m not sure I want to know how inefficiently I use my time (or at least nap time 🙂 )!

    My top 2 life hacks:
    1. Wake up before everyone else to have quiet time in the morning (haven’t done that since the baby was born!).
    2. Unplug. Limit time on the computer and social media – especially when the family is all home and kids are awake!

  37. Gratitude and quality time with family! Spending some quality unplugged time with those you love and just learning to be and appreciate the little things is worth so much.

  38. Awesome tips!! I really like the “cultivate an attitude for gratitude” one in particular. 🙂

  39. I think self love us the biggest and hardest lesson I’ve learned. It’s hard to accept yourself and feel confident enough to not let others tell you who you should be.

  40. I love this. I’ve been trying to be better at tracking my time and wasting less time! Mindfulness does wonders for happiness and stress!

  41. All awesome ways to be happy! I love starting my day off early with a workout and then some quiet coffee time on the back deck. No better way to start the day!

  42. I was programed to ALWAYS be motivated!!! My parents are extremely motivated, it’s totally genetic! 🙂

  43. I try and be true to myself and I TRY not to compare myself to others. That will suck me out of any happiness or contentment I have in no time!

  44. This was JUST what I needed today. Thank you! (Got to get going on the getting up earlier part, too!)

    THANK YOU!

  45. love this! Yes I get an early start, move daily, spend time with loved ones and cultivate relationships that benefit me, sometimes that means having to say good bye to unhealthy relationships and I have done that this past year. The sky is the limit!!! #fitfam <3

  46. These are all great tips!! Love the “Track Your Time” hack — that is so true. If you don’t track your time, it’s easy to mindlessly waste time.

  47. say a quick blessing before you sit down for dinner – my parents instilled this tradition and i do it with william – love the reminder!

  48. you always make me think with my heart. I love that. I need to do more of it, empowering each other with JOY

  49. I could definitely improve my time tracking skills but I’ve learned to at least take a few minutes each day to power down my mind! It’s a amazing what even a 2 minute reset can do! As for the rest – YES to waking up early, trusting your instincts and surrounding yourself with people who lift you up! Great read for an early Tuesday morning. Thanks Jill!

  50. Jill, these are great tips that I strive to implement . . . sometimes it’s good to have reminders! So my tip would be to check in once a week / month to see not only where you are with physical fitness, but mental and spiritual fitness

  51. I think that a good one is to simply practice gratitude towards your body by feeding and treating it “right”–respect what it is telling you, give it delicious fuel, and allow it to frolic!

  52. Those are all great!! I’d add on my own list to not be afraid to prune your tree: remove negativity and cut back from relationships that don’t make you your best or happy. We don’t have to be courteous when it comes to happiness. It’s okay to change.
