A little reminder and motivation. Right where I can see it often. The geekiness in me changes my desk top regularly and the image depends on my mood. I wonder what START WITH BELIEVE says about my mood? My go to often for a desk top makeover is Lorna Jane. New wall papers came out today → Move Nourish Believe Desktop

So surprised to get this in the mail this week. Slowly but surely a dream is beginning to feel real.

Experimenting with essential oils. With a little research I’ve been working on creating an oil combination for a diffuser and a combination for healthy glowing skin. They should be ready to share next week. Seriously cool stuff.

I became a fan of Rich Roll after reading, Finding Ultra (great book by the way), so when I saw a giveaway for The Plantpower Way being hosted by Blissful Basil I couldn’t resist entering. I won! I have pages sticky-noted with the recipes I want to try first.

Lately, it’s taken a little extra push to workout, but I’ve learned that life is better when I MOVE. Stress less, less overwhelmed, feel better, positive outlook overall. So, yes, it may take a little more encouragement but I’m making the time to move everyday.

  1. I love essential oils! I use vinegar as a fabric softener for laundry, and to disguise the smell I put in a few drops of pure lemon or orange oil. And lavender oil is always on my nightstand. Have a great weekend!

  2. I saw you post about that book, I think on Instagram, and I really want to read it, especially as I begin marathon training and really need to take care of my nutrition. Also, still need to try essential oils! I saw a good idea on Pinterest too of dabbing a few drops in your toilet paper rolls so that your bathroom smells nice 🙂

  4. I’m loving my essential oils! I need to do some more research on the orange, eucalyptus, and peppermint. I actually don’t subscribe to any magazines anymore. I cancelled them all last year, because I find I am getting better information for fitness and health from my fellow bloggers! 🙂

  5. I haven’t changed my desktop image since I got my computer 2 years ago! ha ha! It’s super pretty though, so no need – but I totally recognized that last night!

    Essential now for me is moments of silence and meditation. this is pretty new.

  9. I still haven’t gotten on the essential oil bandwagon but that sounds so interesting!! I love that you change your desktop background – I keep a picture of my pups (especially since Sugar passed away). They are always my happy place!!

  10. Oh, goodness! I never change my desktop. I don’t subscribe to anything (although for some reason, we get Entertainment Weekly and Sports Illustrated) because I prefer books – hard copy magazines are so quick and disposable to me. I also never win anything!

    Part of my everyday? Talking with my guys about our days. Running. Reading.

  11. I ahve recently started using essential oils. Breathe is my favorite. After my asthma attack during the Phoenix Marathon, I can’t run long without it!

  12. My employer won’t let me change my background, which is sad, because sometimes it’s nice to change it for a pick me up during the day.

  13. I won a $50 gift card to Quest when I was at Blend. And I’ve had the same desktop for ever! I keep exploring new ones to change it to, but I just love it so much!

  14. I rarely ever change my desktop images since I don’t pay any attention to them. I occasionally change the wallpaper on my phone though…that depends when my son lets me take a picture LOL. I’m winning things right and left but couldn’t tell you which was the most recent.

  15. I’m a magazine addict. I love getting them but always have a pile that I need to read. It’s nice for reading on the shuttle to work and on my lunch breaks though. I really want to start using some essential oils!

  17. I haven’t won anything in long time now that you mention it! I always say I am going to change my screen desk top, but rarely do! I also let all of my magazine subscriptions run out. Now I just get occassional ones at the store. I had way too many and it was a lot to keep up with regularly.

  18. I’ve often noticed that when I’m struggling to find motivation to work out, and I finally push myself out the door, that I come back feeling refreshed. The work out always seems to have been exactly what I needed!

  20. I’m with you: it’s a very exciting time of year! Lots of great stuff happening! I have an oil diffuser and my 9 year old of all people, has taken a liking to it. She mixes and makes oil combos that are pretty cool! I really like Lifetime Fitness’ Experience Life magazine.

  22. Loads of stress over here. I’ve been using a natural herb based stress relief spray on my way to work these days. I’m anxious to read your info on the essential oils!

  23. I use my work laptop, so no wallpaper there, and on my phone I have my ICE info. on the lock screen – so boring!

  24. I never change my desktop background! It has been a picture of Alex and me from our wedding since it was taken!

  25. I won a massage at Massage Envy from Tina at Carrots ‘n’ Cake. I’m torn between getting it asap and waiting til I need it.
    I like nature scenes on my computer and I change the desktop image seasonally. My phone though… I change that whenever I notice the inspirational message isn’t “clicking” for me anymore.

  26. I should change my desktop! Since I got my chromebook, I’ve settled for the generic landscapes. Your essential oil project sounds great…can’t wait to hear! I’ve been using just plain lavender for the baby at night 🙂

  27. ahhh I keep thinking I should just surrender and try the oils here too.
    People swear by them for allergies and we are ALLLLL STRUGGLING!
