Wonderfully thick and tasty, this healthy smoothie recipe combines the sweetness of seasonal fruit with the refreshing joy of a cold smoothie, along with a boost of protein, to give you the perfect light lunch or snack. Full of nutrients, but it taste so good you’ll forget that it’s good for you.
I don’t know about you guys, but I couldn’t be happier that the weekend is almost here.
This recipe was inspired by the weather. Created and enjoyed on a beautiful spring day with warmth sunshine and blue skies. Even when the weather was rainy and dreary and, can you believe, even a little cold it hasn’t stopped me from making this recipe repeatedly this week for breakfast or a delicious snack after hot yoga.
Flavors of Spring Green Smoothie. A glass of spring goodness packed with protein, fruits and greens for a single meal replacement serving or 2 snacks.
Ingredients
- 1 mango, peeled and pitted
- 10 strawberries
- 1 small carrot
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 1 cup spring greens

- 2 tablespoons chia
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used Skoop B-Strong)
- 1 teaspoon maca (optional)
- Sweetener of choice (optional)
Instructions
- Add the greens and cashew milk to the blender. Blend until smooth.
- Add the remaining ingredients and blend.
- Enjoy!
Full of so much flavor, nutrients and Skoop B-Strong protein, you’re going to want to make this repeatedly too.
Spring has been on my mind this week. Did you see the Quick and Easy Spring Veggie Bowl recipe? A bowl full of goodness.
I would love to chat.
Are you enjoying warm weather? What are your plans for the weekend?
be the best version of YOU
This sounds like the perfect balance of fruit and veg – I’ve started to add more veg to my smoothies so there’s not a huge sugar overload. They taste nicer to! Love this 🙂

I usually add spinach but I never thought to add carrots. They are naturally a bit sweet so I bet they would be a great addition. I will have to give them a try.
I love Mangoes, fresh ones, but if I can get them in a healthy aswell smoothie then i will definitely take it.

I’ve never done carrot in a smoothie before. I juice them but don’t blend. I should try that.
I, for one, am so eager to for the farmer’s markets to open and to start getting seasonal, local produce for our house. Your picture has me totally craving freshly picked strawberries!
I am so bad about making green smoothies. This one looks delicious and the addition of carrot juice was intriguing!

I’m enjoying warmer weather this week because I’m in Florida. It’s been wonderful!
This smoothie sounds good. What is maca?
I’m freezing my way through my first 5K tomorrow morning (walking).
This sounds like a salad in a smoothie except even more delicious! mmm!
Unfortunately not so warm here in Toronto… wishing for spring to actually come but i think its going to snow next week!
It look so sunny where you are! It’s been rainy here, but a LITTLE warmer! I’ll take it!

Thanks for hosting the link-up, Jill!
It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in Austin, plan to run the Zooma 1/2 marathon. have a great weekend yourself!
Keeping my fingers crossed that spring will make an appearance around here eventually but there’s a chance of snow showers tomorrow! Have a great weekend!
Looks delicious! Green smoothies are a must most mornings but almost daily in the spring and summer and in the winter months I tend to go with oats and protein pancakes. They are still a favorite and great on the go so we try to get them in often!
Sounds like a power smoothie! Can’t wait to try.
We have been getting beautiful weather in Austin these past few days! It’s so nice to finally have Spring. The smoothie looks delicious! Enjoy your weekend.
I’m still waiting for more warm weather. I LOVE the sound of this smoothie. Cashew milk has been my fave lately!
This sounds like an absolutely delicious combo! I love all of the fresh flavors in there!

It’s back to being cold here again today 🙁
Love this smoothie and the light looks so pretty in this picture.

Jill this sounds so yummy! I loved go but never thought to add carrot!! Isn’t cashew milk the best thing ever no can’t get enought of it.!! It’s finally warm enough here for icy cold green smoothies to start the day I can’t wait to try this one!
Well, it was warm yesterday (70s!) but there’s a chance of snow flurries tomorrow. :-/
Smoothie looks delish! I think I’ll grab some mango at the grocery and make it! It’s not quite yet spring here, but at least it’s not still snowing! 😀
Yum! I love green smoothies! Especially when it is warm out…but the weather is plummeting back down again here…gahhhh!
My weekend is filled with chores and things that I have been putting off all week. Blahhh! I need to get motivated to get stuff done, but it hasn’t been working in my favor! Hope you have a great weekend and get your study guide so you have a little more direction! 😉
It’s 95 in Phoenix. I wish I could send some of you the heat. It’s too hot too soon! This smoothie may be in order!
ohh i love seeing skoop in this! just screams green, spring, and healthy! YAY!
Just looking at the picture of your smoothie makes me FEEL warmer – it looks so tropical! I pinned this recipe! What a great summer treat 🙂
This morning it is +14 degrees F. Spring, where are you??? My weekend plans include running on the treadmill today! I’m boycotting cold weather for a day.
I am all about mangoes in smoothies lately but I’ve found I need to run the blender for a while to get them fully pureed. I am so happy it’s the weekend – it’s been a nutty week at the office. I’me excited to get in a long run (my first for my next training cycle) and see some friends that I haven’t seen in nearly a year. Hope you have a great weekend!
Our weather has been all over the place but yesterday I ran in a tank top and skirt and was hot! It was delightful. I guess it is time for me to buy a smoothie blender. I keep seeing fabulous recipes and the one time I tried kale in a smoothie, it had tiny pieces because I have an ordinary blender.
It was warm until yesterday- it gold cold!! I have been enjoying the warmer weather though- SO nice. This smoothie sounds great. I actually drink smoothies all year, even when it’s freezing outside haha.
Ha what warm weather?? I still haven’t tried Skoop yet!
Pretty please bring on the flavors of spring! My recipe today is about the flavors of spring… zucchini bread to be exact.
As it flurries outside (I wish I was kidding)
Jill, IT IS SNOWING HARD HERE 🙁 i want to come hang out with you and enjoy spring weather, and smoothies, I’m still wearing three pairs of socks and freezing all the time!
I recently bought almond-cashew milk and it was great in smoothies! Unfortunately its been chilly here and this morning its raining…although yesterday afternoon we did get a brief taste of spring weather which was wonderful! But the temps are all over the place- it seems that the weather can’t make it up it’s mind.
I recently moved to Scotland and it’s actually been really sunny here this past week, which has been nice for being able to actually workout outside again! It’s still snowy and miserable in the New Hampshire I left behind me so I’ve been trying to “think spring”. I love green smoothies and I’ve tried a sample of Skoop before but have not used it since. Is see you’re an ambassador for Skoop so you must really believe in it’s quality!
Oh jill this sounds wonderful! I would never have thought to put a carrot in a smoothie, but that is a gooood idea! As for mango….ohhh mymmmmmyyyyyyy yum!
Lovin’ the addition of mango 🙂
I think we are in for a rainy day today but it will bring some cooler temps- like high of only 70 degrees this weekend, perfect to log in some training miles! Happy Friday Jill!
We had a warm day yesterday but turned rainy and now cold again. Boo. That smoothie looks good. I haven’t had a smoothie in a while, probably since last summer when it was warm out. I may need to fire up the blender again.
Yesterday morning was wonderful – 50 degrees and sunny! Then the rain clouds moved in…spring has to be coming right?!
