Positive Energy Found Here

Five Things Friday jillconyers.com #fitnessfriday #linkup

So many things I want to share with you guys, but I started the week with positive energy and want to keep the good feelings going.

Immersing yourself in positive energy can make a difference in how you feel and how you handle life.

Five Things Friday jillconyers.com #fitnessfriday #linkup #yoga

Still at the top of the Things That Make Me Smile list, yoga! I’ve been participating in the prANA #taketheleap challenge with Fit Approach and then the added #bringyogaback mini challenge all with going to the yoga studio about 4 times a week. I’ve mastered [or close to mastering], poses I never thought possible, met wonderful new friends and have found a new appreciation for stillness.

I have the wonderful opportunity to partner with one of my favorite companies this year, Larabar! I came home yesterday to a box of yummy goodness. [Insert BIG smile]. I already have plans to share the box of goodness with friends.

I treated myself to a PuraVida Bracelet. I’ve wanted one forever! When I came across a discount I couldn’t resist. I’m glad I decided to listen to my 16 year old daughter. She convinced me to step out of my black and white and neutral colors comfort zones and go with colorful. Love love it!

Five Things Friday jillconyers.com #fitnessfriday #linkup #InfusedWater

Infused water is one of those things that I drink daily, then not at all and then back to daily and wondering why I ever stopped. My favorite right now is any fruit I can infuse with a cinnamon stick. So refreshing and a great break from plain water.

Love yourself enough to give yourself (and others) the gift of forgiveness. jillconyers.com #believe #forgiveness #selflove

Actually, this is at the top of my Things That Make Me Smile list, forgiveness. Whether it’s forgiving yourself or forgiving others, love yourself enough to give yourself that gift.

Linking up with Friday Favorites at Housewife Glamour.

How do you immerse yourself in positive energy? What was the last gift you bought for yourself?

  1. I love Pura Vida bracelets! I actually got two for free when I was working a Yoga Festival for Kashi. The Pura Vida people were there and were giving out bracelets to all the workers! They are sooooo nice, I went back to buy another one, she saw I was wearing my work shirt and told me I could just have it!!! IT was so nice!

  2. I’ve never infused water with cinnamon. I need to try this. Usually I do hot water with lemon and ginger. Or cold with lemon and raspberries.

Your daughter was right. The colours are beautiful!

  3. Cinnamon infused water huh? Interesting, but I can see how that would work! Would be a great drink for so many reasons! Love those bracelets, and yes for lara bars! Thanks for always being a source of positivity and love 🙂

    1. I’m the same way Melanie. I go months without remembering to make it. Too yummy not to and the break I need from plain water. Enjoy!

  6. Jill: I had never really delved into the world of Larabars until I won that blog contest from you. I am now obsessed: specifically with the apple pie and cherry torte flavors! So thank you for that introduction 🙂

  7. Ooh I love the idea of putting a cinnamon stick in water! I’ve never been a fan of the fruit-infused deal, but herbs and spices – yes please! I also hear you on the yoga – I’m literally having a yoga renaissance in my world right now – could not love it more!

    1. Yoga renaissance. Love that Cat! What are your favorite herbs and spices for infused water. I’d love new ideas to try.

  8. Congrats on your lara bars partnership…I love the pumpkin pie flavor but it is seasonal, so you may have missed out on it this time around! The last thing that I bought myself was a new hat for the gym…I got my hair cut shorter and am not loving it so I thought this might make me feel a little better about it!

    1. Hi Stacy! Nice to meet you. Have you tried the Peanut Butter and Jelly Larabar? It’s so so good! I bet your new hair cut looks great. Have you had short hair before?

  9. As always I love everything here! Your new bracelet is BEAUTIFUL I love it! I love that you are so immersed in yoga right now, I can’t wait for the day I can really get back to going to the studio daily, I loved doing that… maybe when the kiddos are bigger 😉 I have never put a cinnamon stick in water, it looks bomb though! And per usual I love your insights, it is so important to embrace good energy, we truly create or own reality, for better or for worse. Much love, have a great weekend girl!

    1. Thank you Amber. Your kind words mean so much to me. When the time is right you’ll be back on the mat and loving it! Try the infused water and let me know what you think. It’s so refreshing!

  10. A good friend of mine got me hooked on following those Pura Vida bracelets on instagram. I really like them! And I have only tried one Larabar flavor (I think it was apple pie?…) but definitely need to try more. Especially if Peanut Butter cookie is an option! Holy yum!

  13. I love all of your positivity here!!! Forgiving yourself is so hard.
I think the last fun thing I bought myself was a cute little denim shirt dress to wear with leggings and boots (my favorite “real” clothes in the winter) and later with sandals.

    1. Forgiveness is hard Kim but as I’m learning it’s so much less draining than the alternative and there really isn’t a reason not to forgive yourself. Happy to share the positive vibes!

  14. I love that bracelet! I’d totally love one like that. I’ve been doing more yoga to surround myself with (and cultivate) positive energy. And I’ve been working on getting rid of clutter in my home. It’s certainly helping!

    1. Hi Whitney. Decluttering and yoga-ing will definitely surround you with more positive energy!

    1. Thank you Lauren. I think I’m going to order another bracelet 🙂 A great weekend to you too!

  15. I’m the same exact way with infused water! I guess it’s just something I forget about but it’s nice to bring it back into the rotation because then I don’t get sick of it! My current favorite is just plain old orange infused water. I didn’t think I would like it when I tried it the first time, but I’ve been loving it!

    1. Haha I think I go extreme with the infused water until I get tired of drinking it. It’s so good every time I bring it back 🙂

  16. I love infused water! Lately it’s been mixed berries and lime for me. I’m sad to say I haven’t been to a yoga class all year. But I do a few poses after every run so there’s that. : )

  17. love this! Always get positive energy when I read your posts 🙂 I’ve been doing more yoga lately and my body is LOVING it.

  18. I LOVE your Pura Vida bracelet! Excellent choice and glad you went with the colors 🙂 Staying positive is something I’m always working on. It’s easy to get stressed out and become a negative nelly in NYC, but it’s one of the greatest cities in the world – we should all be happy!

    1. Hi Nicole! How are you?

Keeping a focus on positive energy really makes a difference and it’s definitely less draining than the alternative.

  19. Larisa Dixon (@0to26point2) says:

Oh I LOVE the bracelet! Cinnamon stick=genius! 🙂

  20. Love the bracelet! Is it just one, or a bunch of little ones that you combined into one? This week I infused water with lemon, cucumbers, and ginger. I like the idea of fruit and a cinnamon stick, though. Maybe I’ll do that for next week! Have a great weekend!

  23. Yummm! Love the idea of a cinnamon stick in infused water! After seeing your great yoga pose, I have to get myself into a yoga class soon! Love all your favorites. Have a great weekend and thanks for doing the link-up!

    1. Thank you Lori! Try the cinnamon stick. It’s so so refreshing! Hit the mat soon. Your body will thank you 🙂

  24. This is really random but I love the foam flooring in your gym corner! It looks so comfy compared to a hard floor – plus with the yoga mat on top of that, very nice! Beautiful bracelets, too 🙂

Forgiveness is essential to having joy in life! I think it’s such a challenge to forgive others AND ourselves, but the freedom it brings is totally worth it. And I guess I bought myself a Valentine’s Day gift 🙂 Just started the book yesterday: “Spiritually Strong’ by Kristen Feola. It’s been awesome!

    1. Hi Amy, I love the mats I chose for my home gym. The carpet just wasn’t working. Forgiveness is a challenge but as I learned recently it can be a weight lifted off your shoulders and it’s so much less draining than the alternative.

  25. yay! we love larabar! great company to work with and perfect for YOU

  26. I love the bracelet. The very last thing I just brought for myself was a dress. I believe positive energy is so vital and I have been trying to keep that in mind when I find myself getting very cranky. Challenging here in New England with all the snow but I know it’s possible. Thanks for the reminder.

    1. Hi Debra. I have a 50% off discount code for Pura Vida if you’re thinking about buying a bracelet. Let me know.

Keeping a focus on positive energy really makes a difference and it’s definitely less draining than the alternative.

    1. Did you order a Pura Vida bracelet yet?? I have a 50% discount code if you want it. I think I’m going to order the black and white. Which one is your favorite?

  27. This yoga challenge has been fantastic. And it is true positive energy breeds more positive energy. Put it out and you’ll get it back. Lara bars yummm! I need to get more arm candy.

    1. Hi Renee, I’ve been curious about the challenge. Do you think participants will continue regular practice after the challenge ends?

    1. Happy to share the positive vibes 🙂 I’m coming closer and closer to a place of peace with myself. It’s an amazing feeling.

  28. I feel more positive just reading the post! Love the yoga class! I only have one more week and hopefully I am released and back to my yoga class! Love that you’re keeping up with yoga. I’ve really enjoyed seeing everyones pictures on instagram from #taketheleap and it reminds me to do some poses each day!

  30. I’m trying to improve my yoga with the challenge too, but I need to go to a class. Your pose looks beautiful!
I bought myself a new coat from Athleta!

    1. Me too Amy! Remember I was looking for a coat and loved yours from Loft (I think)? I found one at Athleta and love love it! It was on sale too [insert BIG smile].

      Have a great weekend!
