The Fit Dish. Building a community that inspires, supports and motivates!
When Jessica and I choose a topic for the week I think about it off and on from that moment until it’s published.
[Optional] Topic for this week: Your Greatest Fitness Accomplishments
For this week’s topic the 2 things that immediately came to mind are
mastering Crow. Now it seems like such a simple thing, but back in April when I held this pose for 45 seconds I felt like I could rule the world! And,
year 3 of running a 12 hour relay on a 2-person team with my husband and winning in our age division.
Even now, months later, I’m still as proud of these accomplishments as the day they happened, but when I look deep into my heart those accomplishments are not what I’m most proud of.
What I’m most proud of doesn’t come with a trophy, a finish line or a photo to share my joy.
What I’m most proud of are the changes I have made inside.
Changing my relationship with food from destructive and controlling to nourishing and joy.
When it all comes down to it the ultimate accomplishment is this,
a belief in myself that made all the other accomplishments possible and that will make my fitness specific goals for 2015 doable.
It’s been a whirlwind of a year mentally and emotionally. Life is not without moments of doubt and fear, but I’m a different person compared to who I was a year ago.
be the best version of YOU
