  1. The annual Conyers’ family photo. The day was beautiful and the weather was perfect.
  2. Green Smoothies and my [unplanned] 30 day experiment. For almost 3 weeks I’ve made a batch of 3 green smoothies every morning (1-2 for me and 1 for my husband). I started this as part of my healthy happy holidays plan and it has worked out brilliantly. The benefits have rocked my world! I’m continuing 1-2 green smoothies daily for what will be 30 days to see if the benefits continue.
  3. The tea bag tag made me smile.
  4. Excited to be selected as a Nuunbassador 2015!
  5. With drinking smoothies daily it was wasteful using plastic straws so I bought a set of reusable stainless steel straws. Less waste and they look kinda cool.

  1. 30 Days of Yoga – One of my goals this year is to deepen my practice of yoga. I’m considering joining a yoga studio to help me accomplish this goal. Still not sure on that so, in the meantime, I’m starting the new year with 30 Days of Yoga at Yoga with Adrienne.
  2. Speaking of yoga, I found an awesome website, Do You Yoga.
  3. There is magic in misery. Just ask any runner. – Dean Karnazes
  4. With looking for a yoga studio to join I need to know what I want. This was a good place to start → A Guide To 6 Different Types of Yoga.
  5. Top 20 Fitness Trends of 2015 – Philly

  1. Yummy roundup of Healthy Bites recipes – Cotter Crunch
  2. How yummy do these Skinny Chocolate Banana Oatmeal Pancakes look and they’re easily made gluten free.
  3. I made Spinach and Mushroom Quinoa for Christmas dinner. It was my favorite dish on the table. So good.
  4. I store a lot of my grains in glass canisters instead of the original package. Now I can stop googling grains to water ratios. Download → Get Your Grain Ratios Right

  1. I think the letter to my bod was one of my favourite posts as well. 2 green smoothies a day WOW. I drink 1 most days but not two. Do you add Shakeology or another protein powder?

    1. Hi Sue. I was use so many straws and I kept thinking about how wasteful it is. My only hesitation with buying the reusable straws was cleaning them but the set comes with a small brush that works wonderfully!

  2. Beautiful family! In a yoga studio I personally would look for a teacher who is good with modifications for various injuries and conditions, and an atmosphere where I don’t feel pressure to copy the teacher exactly. It’s mostly internal pressure, but there are situations that bring it out more or less. I would also want a calming, spiritual atmosphere. And I don’t like to be hot so it would not be a hot yoga studio.

    1. Thanks Mary. I think I will know if the atmosphere is right almost immediately. I’ve learned more about the yoga terms and have a better idea of what to ask and what I’m looking for.

      My Christmas has been wonderfully stress free! I don’t want it to end.

      How was your Christmas?

      1. I haven’t actually because the only ambassador group I found didn’t seem to have any content on it. Have you had any luck? I was kind of hoping they would send out a welcome email with instructions, like they do for Sweat Pink, but that doesn’t seem to be the case!

        I’m glad to hear you had a wonderful stress free Christmas! Mine was pretty calm and low key too!

        1. I found one group for Team Nuun but my request to join wasn’t granted :/ #thatsembarrassing haha

          I’m sure we’ll hear from them this week. It just doesn’t make sense to not send out a welcome/intro.

          1. I completely agree. I’m sure they’ll send out instructions for ambassadors because I think we create a profile for it. I think that Team Nuun might be the people who run for Nuun, and not ambassadors, so that might explain getting denied. :/

            I just got an email today to go to a taste testing next week. Are they doing that in your area?

  7. I want to thank you for sharing doyouyoga I’ve just signed up. I’ve been incorporating more yoga in my life lately and have noticed how much it has helped. So I’m going to be more consistent with it.

  9. I just signed up for an alert to join the 30 days of yoga. A few months ago, I started doing a once per week yoga class at our local rec center. It has been really fun to add something new to my workout routine. I look forward to trying this 30 days. thanks for sharing!

  10. So excited that you are joining a yoga studio for 2015! I cannot wait to get back to Houston and practice on Sunday and get back into my routine. I definitely am ready to dedicate more time to yoga this year. To me a sense of community is huge in a yoga studio. There is no competition, but more encouragement, and FUN!

    1. A little over zealous and I went out yesterday to check out 2 yoga studios. They were both still closed for the holidays. I’m excited about joining!

      I love practicing yoga at home but I feel like I’ve reached a plateau of growing skill wise so I think an actual instructor might help. We’ll see. It’s going to be hard to beat the convenience of my home gym 🙂

    1. Hi Amber. My only hesitation with reusable straws was how to keep them clean. This set came with a small brush that works wonderfully! I always have so many tabs open. It drives my braniac son crazy haha!
