Good morning, how are you?

Coffee is on me. What would you like?

So, tell me, how’s life going?

If we were having coffee I would tell you I’m so excited to have been chosen to be a Skoop Sponsored Blogger.

I love the products and the company has been great to work with, but that’s not the best part. Skoop has partnered with Chef Ann Foundation to bring Mission Nutrition into schools.

Provide 1 million servings of fresh produce to students this year.

Awesome isn’t it!

Morning Ritual jillconyers.com #justbe #positivemindset

If we were having coffee I would tell you I started a morning ritual of before my workout, emails and blogging I give myself 15 minutes to slowly start my day and one of the things I do is journal. I’m not even sure why I started using them, but I use these markers for journaling and now I’m obsessed with multicolor writing for everything!

If we were having coffee I would tell you I decided to get a personal trainer certification. Finally making that decision was such an awesome feeling. Even more than that it was liberating to take a leap of faith that at one time practicality would have stopped me from taking!

If we were having coffee I would tell you I’ve spent most of this year recovering from an injury and then focusing on getting stronger, more flexible and having greater range of motion all with very low mileage and no races. Next weekend I’m running my first post-injury half marathon! Yikes! I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it!

If we were having coffee I would tell you yesterday I blogged about my experience with disordered eating and in doing that I opened myself up to feeling extremely vulnerable. I knew that would happen, but I didn’t let that stop me!

Take a minute to stop by and say hi to my friends and co-hosts of The Ultimate Coffee Date, Nikki at Grab Your Kicks and Lynda at fitnessmomwinecountry.

Have you ever done something that you knew would make you feel vulnerable but you did it anyway?

be the best version of YOU

  1. Congrats on your sponsorship and your personal training certification! :]

I love using multicolored pens too! 😛 It’s pretty much the only way I could convince myself to look through my mountains of study notes again.

  2. congrats on sponsorship! what a cool thing to be a part of ! Healthy food for kids is so important

  3. I LOVE those markers! Taking 15 minutes in the morning sounds wonderful. I love starting my day with a cup of coffee and not rushing. Good luck with your next half!! I’m sure you’ll do great. 🙂

  4. Writing with multi color pens is so fun. Congrats on the personal training program and good luck with the post injury race. I am still very nervous about running, I tried a mile the other day and am still not back. I have put off my November half marathon and will focus on training for the two I have on the calendar for next year.

  5. This makes me so happy for you. I love Skoop and it’s so exciting that you’ve been chosen to be a sponsored blogger! And I’m so happy for you to have found your voice and share with us about your eating; I think it will help more people than you can imagine, aside from yourself, obviously! Looking forward to reading about your CPT experiences!

  6. I love these type of posts. Such a cute idea to share stuff. Congrats on working wit Scoop! Their mission nutrition sounds like a great program!

  7. I really appreciated your honesty in the last post. I am so glad that you have been able to find recovery!
I also love pretty, new pens! 🙂

  8. I am so glad that you opened up about your struggles with eating. So many of us have gone through similar times. Mine was way back in college but hearing you talk about I can remember exactly how I felt. If you can help someone else seek help than that is something to be proud and thankful for. Congrats on the pers training cert. I loved teaching group ex a while back. I’d love to get some sort of nutrition degree. I’m joining in for coffee but still having server issues so it might be tomorrow!

  9. This was great ! Now I’m off the read your almost anorexic post. Thanks for being vulnerable.

  10. Hi Jill!!!

Good Morning! Can I get that coffee in a IV-drip please?!?! No, but really I take my coffee just with a little vanilla almond milk!

Great post. I’ve been wanting to join in for a while.

If we were having coffee….. I would tell you that I started jorunaling or AKA Morning pages three weeks ago and it is AMAZING! I mean I journal a lot but, I have been doing it “almost” everyday and it has opened up my eyes to what I really want. By doing it first thing in the morning I get to get out a brain DUMP and under no pressure to make it perfect. Just have little convo with myself. LOL

OMG your question about doing anything that makes me feel vulnerable?!?! Big fat yes! All, the time. I strive to get out of my comfort zone. Even something as small as joining in on a link up always make me feel vulnerable. I had to take a couple weeks off blogging, because I just felt frustrated with myself and had to do a little personal ME work.

And, for your marathon…GOOD LUCK to you! Injuries suck! I’ve been having hip and sciatica issues. So I’ve taken some time off and getting that fixed. Starting back with a 5k next month. AND, starting from square one! EEEKKK!

Anyways, I hope you are having an amazing weekend and thanks for the coffee!!!

    XOXO,
    Laurie

  11. Wow! Skoop sounds like an amazing organization. That’s so awesome what they’re doing for kids. I wish I journaled in the morning. Maybe that’s something that I’ll start doing. I love your picture of multi-colored pens. Using a lot of different colors makes writing anything more fun, even if it’s for work.

  12. I love that you begin your day journaling. I am in my 50’s now and regret not having written down my thoughts and memories. Especially now that my kids are grown. But this inspires me to start a journal. Maybe I’ll call it the wisdom years.

  13. Congrats on your Skoop project! They are doing great things and I really like the product! Good luck with the marathon I know you are excited. I think blogging can make a person feel vulnerable when you start- does anyone care, does anyone want to read what I have to say, but I have really enjoyed it! Enjoy your coffee Jill I have a 5K to run this morning :).

    1. Those were exactly my thoughts about sharing that post! Have a wonderful day Mary Beth and enjoy the run 🙂
