Just like with pumpkin, I love cooking in a slow cooker but the only time I do is during fall and winter. Well, fall is here and I’m on a roll with 2-3 crockpot meals a week. The 10 list is a combination of recipes I’ve made and love and recipes on my to-make list.

  2. My slow cooker is made by Crock-Pot so I call mine that (although for non-Crock-Pot brands it’s appropriately called a slow cooker). I’m a slow cooker fanatic year round, and will be sharing and trying these recipes.

  3. I love this list! Do you ever feel that sometime good crockpot recipes sometimes require as much work as a 30-minute meal? By the time you sautee onions or sear the meat, you might as well just cook the whole thing! lol I do like setting a crockpot on low and letting it simmer all day, but I rarely just throw in the ingredients. It’s nice having dinner ready when I get home though.

    1. Haha that’s the point my husband makes all the time Denise. Still. You can’t beat the convenience of cooking while at work 🙂

  8. I call it “crockpot” and I love cooking this way. I actually got a book about a month ago with 500 crock pot recipes and I’ve enjoyed making a few of them so far.
    My favorite is too cook soups and chili’s in it!

  15. I’m actually planning to do a lot of crock pot meals this upcoming week! Yesterday I put together some freezer meals that I can put into the crock pot before I leave for work in the mornings. I will have to check out some of the recipes you shared as well!
