I’m not saying change will happen overnight. I’m not saying it will be easy. What I am saying is, you CAN change your mindset about YOU.
Don’t Give People the Power
Stop giving other people [and their opinions] the power to control your self worth and confidence.
Know What You Live For
Identify your values and prioritize them. Doing so will give you a clearer focus on what you need in life as opposed to what you simply want.
Dump the Disbelieving Thoughts In Your Mind
Dump the negative and disbelieving thoughts. Immerse yourself and fill your mind with inspirational content. It may be easier said than done at first, but eventually, you become more comfortable with and feel worthy of believing thoughts.
Surround yourself with people who are supportive of your dreams and who encourage you to be the best you can be. Even if it’s just one person, you must find that one source of unwavering support. Good people (or a person) in your life makes belief in yourself infinitely easier.
Know You’re Not The “Only One”
If you are human, you have struggled with belief at some point. For instance, take one of the most innovative men of our time, Steve Jobs. In his Stanford commencement speech he talked about how he dealt with self-doubt. Steven Jobs and self doubt are words I never imagined would be in the same sentence. Read the biography of the most inspirational person you can think of. You’ll see how they also faced self-doubt at certain points in their life.
When someone gives you a compliment, resist the urge to down play, question its authenticity, or dismiss it. Imagine that it is true and you’re worthy of the kind words.
Make the decision to believe in yourself and your dreams unconditionally.
If you were going to share a how-to, what would it be about? Have you ever tried to change your mindset about anything? How did it turn out?
be the best version of YOU
