Good morning, how are you?
Coffee is on me. What would you like?
So, tell me, what’s been going on with you?
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you yes, I’m going to buy an iphone 6 but I would never stand in line for 19 days just to be first to have it. Granted some of the people are professional line sitters. Still. That’s just crazy. We know an announcement is scheduled for Sept 9, but Apple hasn’t even announced the actual release date yet.
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you about my Healthy Peach Pie Protein Pancake recipe. If you like peaches, you have to try it. It’s one of my proudest kitchen creations and bonus, my kids like it! Then, I would invite you over for breakfast.
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you for the first time in 11 years my husband and I are not driving out kids to school. My son started driving this year and now he takes my daughter to school. Watching them pull out of the garage is one of those mixed emotion mommy moments.
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you I’m working on not making decisions out of fear. I’m also working on not being overwhelmed with the bigness of my dream. If I start to feel overwhelmed I’ve noticed that’s when the self-doubt and practicality try to sneak back in my mind. Oh, and by the way, dreaming big takes patience. I don’t mind doing the work to accomplish my dreams but I want everything to happen now!
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you I’m not complaining because I have the luxury of a summer break every year but this year it’s been tough getting back into a routine after going back to work. I think I have an idea why. Something to think about.
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you to enter my Skoop giveaway! It’s an awesome protein powder that works great for cooking and baking.
If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you I think PB2 is one of the best foodie inventions ever. I love nut butter but, unfortunately, it’s not a good idea to eat it as often and in the quantity that I would like. PB2 gives me an alternative for my nut butter cravings.
I have a run date with my husband this morning so I have to go. Take care. Big hugs. I’ll see you next month, right?
Take a minute to stop by and say hi to the co-hosts of The Ultimate Coffee Date, Nikki at Grab Your Kicks and Lynda at fitnessmomwinecountry.
Do you PB2? Are you an Apple fan? Do you have any new recipes to share?
be the best version of YOU

Ooooh the iphone 6? But standing in line for that long? No way. Thanks for hosting the link-up.
I do not own an iPhone never have, I have an iPad and all I do is read and watch Netflix’s on it. I have would never wait in line for a phone. But I have waited two hours in line at the Lego store with my kiddo. 🙂
I can’t imagine waiting in line to buy an Iphone?! Seriously, don’t people have anything better to do?!
That’s crazy people are already in line! What’s the big deal of having the phone first! It’s just a phone, haha! I don’t and have never had an iphone, I’m an Andriod girl 😉
How cool that your kids are driving to school together, we never had that happen! Some nice sibling time for them I hope and a break for you. Around here we have an even bigger change, an empty nest as my older two both move out for college!
PB2! I still haven’t had a chance to try that yet since I made somewhat of a vow not to buy it until I finished all the nut butters I currently own. It’s been a slow process, haha.
100% agree on getting the new iPhone. I’m a sucker, so OF COURSE I’ll buy it. I’m just not a big enough sucker to wait in line. 😉
I thought Jordan was going to drive to school this year but so far he isn’t really ready to (he doesn’t like driving!!).
I’m a huge Apple fan – phone, iPad, MacBook Air……I will probably wait on the new phone a bit – I hope the battery is better than the 5!
What is PB2? I have never seen it in a grocery store around here, though I usually look for my peanut butter in the organic section, perhaps that’s why? Have a great weekend!
I love my iPhone but I can never wrap my head around these people who camp out just to be the first to own one! It must be a little bittersweet watching you kids drive to school on their own! Glad we got to catch up for coffee today!
I PB2! I backed off of it for a while (I was using just regular peanut flour or nut butter) but I”m back to it now, at least for the moment. I always wait for 6 months after the new Apple product so that they can work out the kinks, and the price will go down! I was in NYC when the last big release occurred, and omg the lines were insanity.
As excited as I am about hopefully buying the iPhone 6 there is no way I would wait in a line for more than an hour. I’d rather wait a few weeks and get one than wait in a line for days!
Thanks for hosting the coffee date! Enjoy your run!
I love these. So fun! 🙂 I am curious what the iphone 6 will have (I love tech gadgets). 🙂
I LOVE PB2 also! 🙂
Jill!
The iPhone 6 is coming out?! I need to get out from under this rock I’ve been living in! ANYWAY, how exciting about your son driving! AND PROUD OF YOU <3 for not letting fear hold you back 🙂

I AM OBSESSED WITH PB2 I EAT IT EVERY DAY IN THE MORNING, seriously, HUUUUUGE scoops into my oats, for the last few spoonfuls so it tastes like i'm just eating straight up peanut butter. I am addicted, I buy it in four pound bulk, and go through it faster than a runner trying to make a PR, seriously, LOVE IT SO MUCH 🙂
I hear you on struggling with falling back into a routine now that school’s started. I thought it was just me! I’m hoping it gets easier in the coming weeks.
Ah, there’s so much goodness in this post! Those peach pancakes look amazing and I’m probably going to make them for breakfast this morning. I am totally obsessed with PB2 and agree that is it one of my favorite food creations. And I love your advice about not being afraid to dream big, and trying to find patience while those dreams come to fruition. I need to work on those things as well 🙂
I’m going to buy the new iPhone too but def won’t do anything crazy for it! When does it come out?? Im do due – I have the 4!
I can’t believe professional line sitter is an actual thing. That’s just crazy! Your pancakes look delicious! I could go for some this morning.
Oh wow what a milestone to let your son drive your daughter to school. You must be happy but sad about that, I know I would.
I’m looking forward to stone fruit coming into season, still way too early.
No pb2 in this house, or any peanuts for that matter, to risky with a child with allergies. I do like to sneaky in peanutty things when she is not around.
Enjoy your rundate.
I’m definitely not someone who would stand in long lines for days either. Ick- what a waste of time! I also have the luxury of having most of the summer off (i work a few hours a week still), which is SO so nice, but it makes september a little rough. Enjoy your run!
Love the run date– I need to get back on the coffee date! next month! Love PB2 used to buy it by the case– Need to check out the SKOOP stuff! hearing good things.
Thanks for hosting this coffee date!
What a big milestone – your children driving themselves to school! I guess that equals more freedom..for both kids and parents! I’m sure it is bittersweet. Enjoy the weekend!
Professional line sitters – say what?? 🙂 I get easily excited about things and then want it to happen now. I totally understand what you mean. I hope your “dreams” are happening very soon. Good things happen to good people!!
It sounds crazy to me to stand in line for days for anything, but that’s what some people say about people who like to run!
oh we are having some of the same mommy moments this fall. My son is driving with my daughter to school. It’s the first time I am not driving one of them. All week I had this strange feeling every time they left together. Haven’t had the PB2 yet looks good. I do love my PNB. Have a great rest of your day 🙂
I love PB2 as well! I don’t care much for the chocolate one (not that it is bad, I just don’t bother with it because it isn’t cheap and didnt’ thrill me) but I love the regular one and eat it every day either plain or mixed with regular peanut butter.
Good morning! thank you for the link up this morning! I hope you and your hubby enjoy the running date! Gosh I can remember my children pulling out of the driveway and it is dark here when they leave for school I swear I think I held my breath the entire time! The joys of motherhood! 🙂
Oh, I remember when my kids pulled out of the driveway without me — bittersweet! We decided not to wait for hte new iPhone before getting new phones – I just got the 5S in June ….
