This was my daughter’s idea for the morning after sleepovers. Using canned cinnamon rolls and a waffle iron make Cinnamon Roll Waffles. Quick, easy and minimal clean up.

Like ponytail holders and single socks, somehow our chip clips disappear. Inexpensive “I should have thought of that” solution, cut the clips off of pant/skirt hangers. So simple and brilliant! (Source)

Life Hack for the Kitchen: Freeze lemon slices for convenient pitchers of lemon water. jillconyers.com @jillconyers #lifehack

Use a muffin tin to freeze lemons for lemon water. Add 2 thin lemon slices to each muffin cup and fill with water. Freeze overnight. Pop out and add to a pitcher of water and store remaining lemon cubes in a freezer bag until ready to use. (Source)

This saves an incredible amount of time! To clean your microwave fill a microwave safe bowl half way with water, add a tablespoon of white vinegar, and microwave for about 5 minutes. When the inside of the microwave is steamed use a rag or paper towel to wipe the inside. (Source)

  3. Dried beans in the crockpot. I make them a pound at a time and freeze them. I always have beans plus they are lower in cost than buying canned.

    1. Hi Liz. Lemon water is my go-to when I just can’t drink another glass of plain water.

  5. I use my coffee machine for everything too. It is so much faster than boiling water the traditional way.

    1. Brie, I thought the chip clip idea was brilliant! Which is great because for some reason we can’t seem to keep track of chip clips. Like the missing sock from the dryer.

  10. Currently my favorite kitchen life hack – when I want to make roasted potato, I cut them up and microwave them for 4-6 minutes (depending on the size) then stick in the oven for a few minutes to get browned and crispy. Much faster than doing the whole thing in the oven.

    1. Hi Kaitie, I’ve cooked potatoes with the over or the microwave but I’ve never tried a combination of the 2. That’s the best of both worlds! Great idea 🙂

    YES!!! Thanks for the reminder for cleaning my microwave!

    On my menu– I’m kind of on a elimination diet for the next few weeks. So, I will keep meals simple as possible. No nuts, grains, or dairy! But, everything else I can have. Oh, except processed foods & sugar. My idea of simple, Green smoothie for breakfast, for lunch or dinner big salad or and meat & potato & veg. 🙂
