Say Good Bye To Winter Skin
About a month ago I noticed the harsh effects winter had on my skin. Winter was the only thing I could think of that caused my skin to be dry, flat and suddenly showing a lot more lines. The benefits of avocados are many but at the time the benefits for my skin are what I what I was most interested in.
Avocados are considered mother nature’s moisturizer so I decided that was a good place to start my experiment. For 30 days I ate 1/4-1/2 half of an avocado everyday, without fail. I all [except figs] of the foods on the list from Healthy Foods for Beautiful Skin but avocados are the only food that that intentionally made a change and, honestly, the results shocked me. Granted, this was an experiment that I was happy to try. I love avocados! I could eat my weight in guacamole, easily blend a variety of soups, top almost any recipe with a few slices or simply cut in half and eat as is. Sounds rough doesn’t it.

I’m not saying eating avocado is the skin care panacea. Kicking stress to the curb helps. But, I do think the nutrients in the avocado definitely helped. Seriously, the difference in how my skin looks and feels is incredible.

- feels healthier
- no dryness
- less make-up needed and it goes on smoothly
For the sake of my skin I guess I have to keep eating avocado! Rough life.
