A long and very busy weekend of traveling which means an off workout schedule and more eating out than I like. There was a time when I would have followed a weekend like this with days of “but you didn’t do this” and a lot of “you should ofs”. Happily, I can say that isn’t the case anymore. Oh sure it’s tempting and the negative thoughts attempt to creep inside my head. But, no, not this time.
During my son and daughter’s competitive season we travel a lot. With the help of my amazing husband, we do everything we can to keep nutrition and workouts status quo when traveling. Pack food and water, stay at hotels with a gym…you know the drill.
So, long story short, I’m a huge fan of Lorna Jane’s Move Nourish Believe philosophy and with a recent post she did not disappoint.
Today I’m kicking any negative self thoughts that try to creep into my mind to the curb! And more than anything I want to teach my daughter to do the same. That’s Alyssa in the middle. The girl in the air doing what she does best!
