The life of a morning person that is a married, mom of 2, psychologist and runner.
Welcome to another round of sharing A Day In the Life!
Thursday, December 19, 2013.
Ridiculously early is all I will say about what time I woke up this morning. Still. This is my favorite time of day.
My morning run wearing my new favorite workout shirt. 6 miles while I watched the latest episode of A Biggest Loser on my iPad. Can’t think of a better way to start my day.
I’ve decided there are very few foods that I don’t like topped on a bed of greens. My latest breakfast obsession, breakfast salads. I’ve perfected it with a secret ingredient. As requested, recipe coming soon!
I dropped my son off at school on my way to work. He’s going to be a senior next year. I cherish these moments that are passing way too quickly.
I needed to buy coffee for the week so I made quick stop at Starbucks after I drop off Alec. A cup to go please.
Work. Meetings. Meetings. And more meetings. I love my job [most days].
Checking off my to-do list. Stopped at the bookstore on my way home from work to pre-order the new Oh She Glows cookbook.
Not on my to-do list but it’s right next door! A harmless quick look turns into a new infinity scarf and sweater.
After days of clouds, snow, rain and ice I welcomed the sight and feel of the blue sunny skies!
Dinner was tuna salad with my favorite Mary’s Gone Crackers. Yes, more greens and I’ve perfected this recipe too.
I had to show off my Sock Swap (hosted by Courtney at Third Times A Charm) gift. A box full of athlete goodies and cozy holiday socks.
The end of a very long but all in all great day.
A few things that occurred to me while making it a point to take photos throughout the day:
- My kids rarely, if ever, want their pictures taken. I have to respect that but they’re growing up so fast and I want to capture every minute. I want to remember those details that I think I will never forget.
- I find comfort in the routine parts of my day.
- Sunny blue skies are rare this time of year in Ohio. The blue sky today was beautiful and I found myself looking up every time I went outside. It’s a totally different feeling compared to when the day is dreary and gray.
- I was surprised to notice I didn’t take any holiday-ish pics. What is that telling me?
