30-Day Rocktober Fitness Challenge
Looking back at last week’s workouts nothing great comes to mind. Actually, when I look back the running was great, the yoga at #runomcincy was great (pictures coming soon) and the rest was just ok. I didn’t strength train 3/week and when I did it was forced and just going through the motions.
All I want to do is run!
What my week looked like:
Monday: Les Mills Pump, PT
Tuesday: Run 3.5 miles,
Wednesday: Les Mills Pump, PT
Thursday: Run 3.5 miles,
Les Mills Pump, PT
Saturday: Run 3.5 miles,
As much as I love it, I’m not motivated to strength train (and my poor abs have been terribly neglected.) I think I’ve figured out why. I’ve been alternating between 2 of my all time favorite workout DVD series, P90X and Les Mills Pump. They’re 2 effective programs that I’ve been successful with over the past couple of years. I should say they’re effective programs IF done as outlined in the workout plan. Right now, completing the 90-day programs as planned is not my goal and as a result I’m not experiencing the same success and progress. I’m motivated to strength train by progress and success! Little to no progress means no motivation!
So, what does all that rambling mean? I’m trying something new, Betty Rocker’s 30-Day Rocktober Fitness Challenge.
