The pain on my left shin/calf seems to have plateaued with recovery. The intensity has lessened but I’m still unable to run. It’s so very strange. The pain is intermittent and not always in the same spot. The general area. Yes. But not always where I think I would feel pain if it is shin splints. Does that make sense to anyone?
What week 8 training looked like: No running.
Tuesday: P90X (upper body only)
Wednesday: Les Mills Pump
Friday: P90X (upper body only)
I’m trying to stay positive. Staying active. Focusing on strength training that can be done without impact. I put off scheduling a doctor’s appointment because I thought it was getting better. I’m reluctantly calling today hoping I can get in sooner rather than later. I hate that feeling in my stomach when I anticipate the worst case scenario with going to the doctor. I dread hearing the words “No running….”
When I’m not able to run is when I NEED to focus on the positive the most.
I’m starting my second full week of the 21-day cleanse and loving it! The menus seem to have been taylor made for me. I’ve tried new foods and wonderful ingredient combinations that I never would have thought of putting together. And, most of all, I feel so much better than I did when I returned home from vacation.
I’ve tried a number of different ways to make having a daily green smoothie convenient and doable when life is busy. Finally, I found it! Smoothie prep that works!
My son has been visiting his grandparents for the past 2 weeks and he comes home tomorrow! I know he’s having a great time and loves to visit family but I miss him. 2+ weeks is way too long!
What’s marvelous in your life right now? If you’re a runner and can’t run what are your favorite ways to stay active?
