I’ve signed up! I’m excited! But I have a question! It says that “Official race bibs will be available before 1/30”. Are those emailed to us or are they located somewhere that I’m not seeing?

  9. Whoop! Whoop!! Just registered for all 6!! Thanks for the awesome series!! 🙂

  10. Just registered for the Virtual Race series!!! I’m excited to share my “Post race recaps” on my blog and with everyone!

    1. Hi Whitney,
Welcome! I look forward to following your races! I commented on your blog but it was spammed so I’ll tell you congrats on the new job here too 🙂

  11. I’m already running a local race on Super Bowl Sunday. Can I count that time for the virtual 5k? I’ll count them as 1 race for the 13 in 2013.

    1. That’s supposed to be 2/13. Ugh! Thanks for pointing that out. I will post a link up on my blog on the 13 and you link your blog post for an entry. Thanks again!

    1. I have a 20 miler and somehow I will turn part of it into my Tackle the Miles. I’m rotating short distances with practicing eating (for endurance) so maybe one of the “laps” will be my virtual portion. It won’t go toward my goal of 13 trail races but it will be fun anyway. Besides I can’t not run my first time hosting a virtual 🙂

  12. Stupid technology trying to make me sound crazy.. that was supposed to be rss and reader. Sorry for the confusion lol

    1. Haha. I thought maybe you meant RSS but it was so far off I decided I just had not idea what you meant 🙂 The RSS button on the sidebar worked ok for me. Is this what you get to add to your feed list? feed://jillconyers.com/feed/

  13. coolio, I guess i never officially signed up for the 13 in 13?! I put my name on the bottom of the list hope that works!!

  14. Trying to follow on rad but its not working.. 🙁

    1. Is it early and I’m just forgetting? What is rad? And more importantly I wonder why can’t you follow?

  15. Woohoo! Thank you so much for making 13 in 2013 so easy for a newby. I’m slowly getting faster and can’t wait to keep running more and more.

  16. FUN! If my foot is healed and I get dr’s clearance when I go in, I’ll try run/walking a 5k! Well, it probably will be mostly walking as I get my mobility back in my foot/ankle, but even 10 feet of running sounds amazing right now.

    1. When do you go to the doctor? Just think how amazing that first run back will feel 🙂

  17. This is great!!
Question: Are we allowed to double dip? For example: We have a race scheduled sometime between now and then and want to use that race time as our entry for the Tackle the Miles time?

    1. Hi Beka. Do you mean counting the one run as 2 of your 13? Sorry if I’m misunderstanding. Of course it’s totally up to you but the ultimate goal is to actually run 13 races. Double dipping will only be 12 in the end right? The challenge is about the run, fun, motivation to stay active, and commitment 🙂

  18. I signed up for the entire series with 5k distances. I am positive I am running a 5k in February. For the later races, if I decide to change distances, will that be allowed? I am really enjoying the 13 in 2013. 1 race completed, 12 to go!

    1. No worries. Just commit to a distance PRIOR to the race and you’ll be fine 🙂

  19. 2 races down and 11 more to go, have you seen my calendar?! I’ve lost it
    , 😉

  20. There is a FB group for our #13in2013?!? I have to get on that! I can’t wait for this! Fun times! I’m already loving the #13in2013 challenge 🙂

        1. You’re in now! The list to approve is long and we’re getting to it little by little.

  21. Sounds great! I’m doing the 5 by the 5th 5k that weekend too, so I’ll count it for both, if that’s okay with you… 🙂

    1. Curious. Will you be counting that as one or 2 of your 13? Either way it’s up to you.

  22. This actually looks pretty good, I may have to sign up, but do you know if it’s international? Living in the UK does have its setbacks, so I’m just wondering if that’s possible.

It’ll give me a reason to get a few more running days in, and that’s never a bad thing!

    1. I don’t see why not Nick! Go sign up! Another reason to run is a great thing 🙂

    1. Wishful thinking or I’m in denial 🙂 Thanks so much Angela! That’s embarrassing!
