Welcome to Fitness Friday #55!
It seems like I’ve had short term and yearly fitness goals forever but never a bucket list. What would I like to accomplish next year and beyond? Where do I want to take my fitness level from here?
This is a bucket list item I would do with my family. Chad and Alec will love it. My 13 year old daughter might need a little convincing 🙂 Rim to rim is 21 miles and gaining close to 6000 ft of elevation. Rim to rim to rim so you end back at your car is a distance of 41.8 miles with 21,420 feet of vertical change. I think I’ll take 2 cars and stick with rim to rim.
There was a time when I couldn’t even do a 1/2 pull-up. Now I can do 5. 10 is doable. Right?
After 2 attempts this year I’m not giving up. Hopefully a Ragnar but if not one of the other ultra relays. Maybe next year?
Inspired by my husband and this book. If all goes as planned I will check this bucket list item off next year. Cool!
This has been on my to-run list forever. The date of the race just hasn’t worked out with everyday life…yet!
Chad and I were going to do this the year he accepted a new job and we moved from CA to OH. One day we’ll go back. Not the flat side! To the top of Half Dome from the valley floor is a 16.4 mile strenuous day hike with a 4,737 elevation gain up to 8,884 feet. Most of the trail that leads to Half Dome is the John Muir trail which starts at Happy Isles and leads all the way to the summit of Mt. Whitney 210 miles away.
It’s exciting to think about accomplishing all of these!
What’s on your bucket list? Run strong and have fun to anyone running this weekend!
