- Find a quiet time and place and think about what word would work for you in 2017. Often times it is that simple. Some years I just knew with very little thought and without hesitation what my new word would be.
- Need a little inspiration? Write down your top three goals for the year and let those goals lead you to a word. What is it that you want? What are the things that are the absolute most important to you? What would make you happy if you had more of it in your life?
- Think of what you want to accomplish over the next 12 months, or what your want to push yourself to become.
- Take a few days to think about the word or words that have come to mind. Which word resonates with you the most? Pick one.
