I had a conversation with the nurse practitioner in my dermatologist’s office about nutrition and overall wellness. That conversation leads to, of course, skin care and by simply adding nourishing whole foods to our diet we can help protect and nourish our skin.
The nutrients found in these foods help nourish the skin from the inside out:
Sweet potatoes and carrots
Fatty fish (salmon and mackerel)
Green leafy vegetables
Healthy Oils (cold pressed or expeller-pressed)
We can’t be 16 again, but eating the right foods can improve the quality and appearance of your skin, help prevent free radical damage and give you a youthful healthy glow.
My preference will always be to nourish my body with whole foods.
