Apples are one of my favorite things about fall! I’m going to try to convince the family we need to plan a trip to an orchard or maybe an apple festival. My kids will love the idea. Not! I may have to bribe them.
Every time I want to cook or bake with apples I can’t remember which variety is best for what. Fresh eating is easy to remember, Kiku and Honey Crisp are my go to favorites. With cooking and baking I end up googling or talking to the produce guy for suggestions.
I created a handy dandy cheat sheet image of some of the most commonly known types of apples and recommended uses. I saved it on my phone right next to my Dirty Dozen Cheat Sheet. Go ahead. Feel free to right click and save for your apple shopping convenience.
