Welcome to Fitness Friday # 64
Celebrate fitness. Celebrate good health. Celebrate friends. Celebrate your passion.
September ended up being mostly about health. Or more specifically about breathing. As a result mileage was lower than I wanted. No worries. A low mileage month is worth feeling so much better and being able to just breathe. Anyone else now have Anna Nalick’s Breathe (2AM) stuck in their head?
September Fitness
Running – Out of frustration, for the first time ever, I seriously considered quitting running. Once I knew what the problem was and what I had to do I felt good again. I loved running again. Being stubborn persistent paid off!
Total Runs: 13
Total Miles: 86.84
Total Speed Workouts: 1 Ugh!
Total Miles In 2012: 845.60
Twelve In Twenty Twelve:
#8 – Indianapolis Women’s Half Marathon – 2:18
#9 – Air Force Half Marathon – Half PR 2:05! That’s 2 minutes off my half PR of 2:07 in August
Strength Training – I finished the 90-day Les Mills Pump Challenge!
Total Workouts Strength/Abs: 10
Total Workouts Yoga: 9
And I can’t not mention this…
September Health - On September 9 I had my first full on exercise induced asthma attack. Freaked me out! It turned out to be a few weeks before I was comfortable running by myself again. Happy to report all is good. 2 puffs and I’m good to go for about 6 hours. Not long after everything seemed fine I either had a cold or allergies. Down and out for almost a week with no running or working out. No worries. Not frustrated. Not discouraged.
