1. I’ve been searching for a vegan protein powder and have finally found 1 to try that has everything I’m looking for, Vega Sport Performance Protein.
2. I may have found a fall ultra! The Owen Putnam State Forest Ultra 50/50. I want to see the course map before making a decision. Then, I have to decide if I want to run the 50K or the 50 mile. I’m pretty sure Chad thinks I’m crazy for even considering the 50 mile. I blame the craziness on reading Rich Roll’s Finding Ultra and Scott Juerk’s Eat and Run. Seriously inspiring. Motivation to redefine your possible.
3. Last, but certainly not least, I’m officially on summer break! More time with my kids, who are growing up way too quickly, and having the option of running early morning during the week. Sweet!
How’s your week going? Any plans for the weekend? Races? Do you use a protein powder for smoothies or other recipes?

I might have to try that protein powder. I’m always looking for a powder that doesn’t contain whey, soy or egg protein since I am sensitive to all of them:( Lame! I use a pea protein powder with a greens mix included and I like it, but I don’t think the protein content is as high as the one you mentioned. Yay for summer break! My kids don’t get out until the 27th. Crazy!

I’ve tried that protein powder but in vanilla and I don’t really like the flavor by itself but I’m sure I can come up with some shakes/smoothies with it!
Great morning picture!!! I drink every morning a vanilla protein powder, with milk and a banana. taste good and I really belief it helps to recover faster and feel good!

That’s a gorgeous picture. I still have a supply of the protein powder I won in one of your giveaways. I put it in baked goods, so it lasts a while. Eeek on the 50 miler! If that’s what you decide, I know you can do it!
Vega was my first choice to for protein powder but before I opened it I read it has hemp in it and unfortunately the Army prohibits the use of hemp products in any shape.
So I went with Sunwarrior. I heard Vega is really good.

I know what you mean about the 50 mile craziness. I think with each longer distance we do, we realize we can go farther than we realized. I think 50 is a doable distance personally, but I may be just as crazy as you.

That’s a beautiful picture at sunset! I don’t really use a protein powder.
