Fitness Friday || Twelve In Twenty Twelve

I have kicked P90X2 butt all week! I have even surprised myself. This morning I feel like my butt has been kicked. I’m physically exhausted and loving it. Is that weird?

So, this week’s FF is going to be short, sweet and about something I’ve been waiting to share for what feels like forever (it’s only been a few months).

The planning is done. Race calendars are [tentatively] set and travel arrangements are being made. 12 people have committed to running 13.1 miles at least 12 times this year. And most, if not all, also have plans for full marathons, ultras, endurance relays, tris and more. 2012 is going to be awesome!

  3. Hey Jill! I feel the exact same way about P90X2. I’m exhausted, but I feel like it’s getting the job done–sore in strange places, so I guess that’s a good thing! Doing the yoga today. I can’t believe you are doing all that running on top of P90X2. You GO, Girlfriend!!!! Wow.

      I have a few ideas for short term challenges later in the year. I’ll expect you to join fully recovered and stronger than ever :)

  12. I love that 12 women are doing it! I wish I could have done it, but with our first full marathon and some triathlons I think that is enough! Maybe next year.

  16. Great job on your P90X journey! Last I tried it, it was too hard but that was after I had my son so I am hoping now I could at least survive past the first workout. Love reading your posts, you motivate me to push harder!

    • Thank you Lisa. P90X is hard. Did you try starting out by modifying the moves. You’ll be surprised by how quickly you don’t need the modifications. I still use a chair for anything more than 5 pullups :)

  17. I think its awesome you all are doing the 12 halfs! I totally would have done it but we lack a ton of them around here during the cold months so I would have had to do some major traveling and that isnt really an option right now with my school. oh well maybe next year I can try it on my own!

    I totally understand loving being exhausted, it feels like you are working right and just doing great things to your body!
